NSW High Point Score Competition

The annual High Points Showing Awards run from the Hawkesbury Show (April/May) until the following year’s Sydney Royal Easter Show.  All SPPHA members and their horse are eligible.  Scores are tallied from all Standardbred classes at shows throughout NSW, with points awarded for wins and placings in each class, and additional points for Champion, Reserve Champion and Supreme Awards.

Each year a special SPPHA NSW High Point Awards Night is held to celebrate the achievements of members and their horses, and to acknowledge their commitment to the promotion of the Standardbred in the big wide world outside of harness racing.

The 2007/2008 showing season commenced as of Hawkesbury Show at the end of April.   Alas, Equine Influenza has played havoc with this show season, but we look forward to eventually being able to enjoy plenty of showing activity in the future.

Held following the AGM on the 10th of November 2007, the Awards Night was well attended and reflected the commitment to quality showing amongst our NSW members.  Congratulations to the winners for all their hard work throughout the year!
